My Mind's Eye {Floral on Friday}

Can you believe it's Friday already? This week has breezed past us. We had Monday and Tuesday off of school as study days, but there was hardly any studying to be done. "Dead Days" as the university calls them are always full of activity! The spring theatre banquet was Monday night and the advanced directing final shows happened on Tuesday and Wednesday. Forgive me for being MIA this week, but once finals are over I'll be back to the usual schedule :)

As far as today goes, I wanted to share a few of my favorite things from the week. Please enjoy!

One/Two. I've been a huge fan of Rifle Paper Co. for quite some time. I typically find their products at Anthropologie or The Paper Source, but Target now carries a set of their journals and I gifted them to myself for surviving the first week of finals.

Three. Monograms are a recent obsession of mine, something deeply engrained in the Southern culture. I now want my initials on everything and am hoping a necklace like the one above somehow winds up in my graduation gifts. Any takers? ;)

Four. I had my first calligraphy lesson last week and I'm in love! I'm really heavy handed and I hold my pen in a strange way, but I'm still learning. Practice makes perfect, right? I hope to really hone in on my skills this summer and we shall see what comes of it!

Five. Has anyone else heard about the new photo editing app from A Beautiful Mess? It is supposed to come out next week!

Six. The Great Gatsby comes out today! I have to wait until early next week to see it, but I love Baz Lurhman and Leonardo DiCaprio so I cannot wait to see what they've done with the film! I know it's had mixed reviews but I shall wait to pass judgement until I see it for myself. And who doesn't love a little 1920's glitz & glam? Be on the look out for some themed wedding inspiration coming to the blog soon!

Seven. As I said, Monday was the spring theatre banquet. These beauties are my Little and Grand Little in the theatre department! I positively adore Jennifer and Devin, and they've been such sweet sources of encouragement and fun this year. I don't know how I'm supposed to leave them behind.

Eight. And now a little encouragement for all of us: "Give thanks to God; He is good and His love never quits." 1 Chronicles 16:34, The Message.
