Lessons Learned; Love Is All You Need

Lord, what is my next step?
I love you.
But how do I know which way to go?
I love you.
I've failed again, how can you still want to use me?
I love you.
But I'm not worth it.
I love you.
She loves You more.
I love you.
He serves You better.
I love you.
I don't always put You first.
I love you.
I'm selfish all the time.
I love you.
I just want to know you more.
I love you.
Teach me Your character, God.
I love you.
God, what is Your will for my life?
I love you.
Seriously, just point and I will go.
I love you.
Why am I not hearing anything? Why am I here?
I love you.
What do you want to teach me?
I love you.
What can I put my hope in?
I love you.

It's that simple. No really, it is that simple.

I often ask for something specific to learn or hope for, for new revelations and fresh encounters with Jesus, and I'll admit I get frustrated when I don't feel like I'm hearing back. But my relationship with God is not based on "feeling". He's there even when I don't "feel" it. He is keeping His promises even when I don't "feel" them. He loves me even when I don't "feel" it.

I've experienced the warm and fuzzies with my Savior, but I've also felt the dry times. But He is still there! He is still carrying me. And He is carrying you, too. Even when you don't "feel" it.

  1. Oh, I love this Bailey. I've been there, too, but so thankful our relationship with Christ isn't based on a feeling. Instead it it's based on our knowledge, belief and trust that our God is faithful to His promises and is who He says He is! :)

  2. Amen sister! Feelings are soooo fickle. As much as I love them, we really can't trust them! Thanks for the encouraging words. I love the blog!
